Willow Beach

This is what our AAA Trip-Tik says about the drive to Las Vegas from AZ. I could not have said it better myself, so here goes! “Deep, colorful walls lead you on a winding road through the Colorado River to Lake Mead. One of the largest artificial lakes in the world, it glistens in the distance like a silver chalice full of pure water. The massive granite water barrier, Hoover Dam, keeps the lake full and hydroelectric energy pumping.” This will be our first time crossing the new Mike O Callaghan-Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge, and I will be doing the driving! Too bad Mark and Dianna Kamper will miss this adventure with us!

One Response to Willow Beach

  1. So, as we drive along the Colorado River and are 11 miles downstream of the Hoover Dam, once again we will get to see the wonderful and beautiful Oasis in the Desert, Willow Beach, Arizona.
