Alouette, gentille Alouette
Alouette, je te plumerai!
Sometimes a song gets into your head and can’t be plucked out anytime soon! Such is the case with Alouette from the Target Commercial? What song is stuck in your head?

    and it’s such a cruel song…have you ever looked up the words in translation?

    do that once, and then it’s not such a happy little song!

    or don’t do it and keep thinking it’s a nice happy little French song, you might take this route,
    but I am thinking you will now be curious….unless of course you already know the translation!

    • It is ironic, you should say that, Wendy. Judy did look up the translation before you made your comment; and, she told me the same thing you wrote. Having learned what you both have informed me, I am really amazed and shocked that Target is actually using that song.
      The translation for the song is contained within the second embedded link of Judy’s blog entry.
      Incidentally, for those who may not be aware, “An Alouette is actually a bird, a lark to be specific. It’s (the song) about plucking feathers of a lark. The song actually informs the lark that you are going to pluck it’s head, nose, eyes, wings, and tail.”
