Orange Sun

Orange sun, ablaze in the sky,
Soon to be yellow, as it raises up high.
What heat will you release,
How hot will you get?

Hide behind a cloud for a few moments of relief,
Then peek back out, if you will,
Shine your round face on the ground,
There’s enough of you to go around!

Your warmth is our wrap, we need no other,
Time to soak up the rays you send.
I’ll be basking in your glory,
Thankful for your time!

Renew my energy for the day,
Carry on, as I go my way.
I’ll look up as you raise up high,
Then settle down for the Moon!

I’ll be up early in the morn,
To welcome you home.
Starting over today again,
I love seeing my orange sun!
