Sylvia Zifkin died today, my sympathies go out to the family! So, she was my ex-mother-in-law and we haven’t spoken in 16 years or more, the fact remains she was at one point in my life, a part of my life. Some people will have a harder time with their grief than others in her family. Only part of the family was close with one another and will remain that way until forever, sad as it may be for those who are not close with each other. Death is our final curtain call, one that brings down the lights, never to see the audience again. We had our differences, but in the end, I wish her peace in her final place of rest. After all, in her words when I told her I was divorcing her son, she said to me, “but they’re still my grandchildren.” I responded by saying, and they always will be as long as you want them in your life!
