Head Scratchers

The following riddles may have you scratching your head for a bit. Just remember, the answer is always obvious when you figure it out. Or when you look down the page! So, here we go, have some fun!  
Challenge #1: What is unusual about these words, assess, banana, dresser, grammar, potato, uneven, voodoo?

Challenge #2: What do you throw out when you want to use it but take in when you don’t want to use it?

Challenge #3: What is bought by the yard and worn by the foot?

1: In all the words listed, if you take the first letter, place it at the end of the word and spell the word backwards, it will be the same word.
