Keep in mind my question for today as you read my example. Why is it relevant to keep reminding the public of former names of places?
Example in the Toledo Blade this day!
“The woman was flown by helicopter to the University of Toledo Medical Center, the former Medical College of Ohio.”
Again, I ask WHY? So, shame on the newspaper editor and whoever wrote the story!

Judy,
I cut and paste articles from the daily loco for later reference and have recently noticed the following (besides the “paper” being smaller these days.
Instead of the body of the articles being formatted as “text body” (which spaces the paragraphs apart by about a half line) I am finding more articles with the paragraphs separated by full lines.
So, besides making the paper physically smaller, they are adding more stretch between the paragraphs, which gives the illusion of more content than there actually is.
